Google Nexus S coming to Ireland on March 1

According to Silicon Republic, the much-anticipated Google Nexus S will arrive on sale in Ireland this coming March 1. The Carphone Warehouse will reportedly stock the device, which will be available exclusively on the Vodafone network at first.

The smartphone runs Android 2.3, or Gingerbread, and is being marketed as “pure Google”. No information has been released on pre-pay price, although the device is said to be available free-of-charge when subscribing to Vodafone’s Perfect Choice Access Plus 700 tariff.

The device features a 4-inch super AMOLED display, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 16GB built-in memory, near-field communication (NFC) enabling wireless payment technology, supports VOIP/SIP internet calling, and has a 5MP auto-focus camera with an LED flash.
