BetterMe Announces Launch Of New Yoga App, Adding To Its Expanding Portfolio Of Health And Fitness Apps

Yoga is a practice with a history spanning over 5000 years, captured in ancient Indian texts and traditions. It has now spread across the wider world and has become a main hobby and daily routine for numerous participants around the globe. Given its huge popularity, and its ability to help us disconnect from our busy modern lives, it is understandable if this hobby is on your to-do list, the good news is there is a new resource to help incorporate it into your daily routine.

BetterMe, a tech startup developing health and fitness apps, today announces the launch of its new Yoga app. The app is available on iOS & Android and focuses on Yoga workouts for body and mind. BetterMe has a growing portfolio of health and fitness apps, including BetterMe: Weight Loss Workouts, and BetterMe: Mediation.  The addition of its Yoga app will provide users with a range of yoga workouts focused on the mind, body and soul. The app also encourages users to implement healthy habits into their lives, through healthy nutrition advice, and schedule/routine recommendations. Interesting facts related to yoga and mindfulness will also be featured on the app.

Thanks to custom programs for various user needs, the app can be used by beginners and yoga gurus. It has a total of nine programs (each with 3 levels of difficulty); Simply Yoga (for beginners), Yoga for better sleep, Stress Relief, Full Body Stretch, Fat-Burning Fitness Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Yoga for Kids, Yoga for Seniors: Knee and Back Pain Relief, and Partner Yoga.

Due to an increase in smartphones, the demand for mobile health apps is on the rise. In fact, recent reports indicate that the mHealth market is forecast to reach $28 billion by the end of 2018. Yoga is increasingly becoming the go to exercise and lifestyle for many. Last year, 28.9 million people in the United States practiced Yoga or Pilates. BetterMe’s new Yoga app therefore aims to serve this growing interest in the exercise. Unlike similar apps, BetterMe offers custom meal plans and workout plans adapted to the users’ need and allows users to complete the app programs at home with no need for gym equipment.

“We believe that tech and fitness have perfect synergy and great potential for improving people’s lives,” said Viktoria Repa, CEO of BetterMe. “We hope the Yoga app will offer something new to our users, encouraging them to try different ways of exercising to live healthy and positive lives.”
