In addition to this announcement, a major pioneer in this field has experienced some good news, allowing the company to continue its rapid expansion, recruit new talent and spur technology development.

Versature, a rapidly growing Canadian SaaS-based business communications solutions and hosted VoIP provider recently announced that it was acquired by net2phone, a global provider of unified communications services and subsidiary of IDT Corporation. The acquisition will allow Versature to accelerate its expansion in Canada, recruit additional top talent and spur the development of innovative call, voice-centric and unified communication technology solutions.

Versature, offers a SaaS-based business VoIP service, Call Data Analytics solutions, and integrations with leading SaaS tools such as Salesforce, Slack and Google Chrome. In addition, it supplies professional phone hardware. In short, Versature provides Canadian businesses with the all tools to stay connected.

Net2phone is a VoIP and cloud-based communication products and service company, and the  4th largest provider in the world. Originally founded in the US, it is a subsidiary of IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT) and has been in the market for more than 20 years.

The acquisition will allow net2phone to continue its international growth, while Versature – named one of Canada’s fastest growing companies by Growth 500 – can further spur its expansion in the country.

“This transaction will accelerate Versature’s growth trajectory in Canada through a powerful alignment of values and innovative technology for voice and call analytics combined with ready access to capital,” says Versature’s President and COO Jonathon Moody. “As a result, Versature will scale Canadian operations by attracting top talent and continue to innovate and aggressively pursue opportunities in the Canadian market.
