How to get followers on Instagram: a basic guide

Instagram started small, but it didn’t take much time before it became one of the leading social media platforms. Today, as part of Facebook Inc., Instagram has millions of daily users sharing photos and videos.

As a result of that, many individuals and businesses have started analyzing the options they have to reach their target audience. Obviously, one of the best ways to do this is to get more Instagram followers. In this article, we will provide a few tips that can help any Instagram user grow their base of followers quickly.

1) Make your account public

In case your account is set to private, it’s time to change this because private accounts are visible only to your friends. If you want to reach a wider audience set the account to public mode. Keep in mind that you can still use some privacy options that can protect your privacy.

2) Share stories

When Instagram released the story feature the public was divided. Most people thought that this feature won’t be popular, but it turns out that they were wrong. Thousands of users are sharing Instagram stories every day and they get millions of views. Share the stories carefully and make sure that these stories are fun for the viewers. This is one way to build strong relationships with your audience.

3) Use an Instagram bot

Another option that will require some money is the use of an Instagram bot. These specially designed bots come with many different features. The best ones have auto like auto follow, auto unfollow, scheduled posting, multitasking, and daily limits features. In other words, you will automate the natural process of getting followers on Instagram.

4) Upload content on a regular basis

An account that is not very active can’t expect to get many Instagram followers. As a matter of fact, inactive accounts are usually unfollowed. So, it is a good idea to update your Instagram account with fresh, unique and engaging content every now and then. Remember that posting too many photos and videos can create counter effects. According to some experts, posting one or two photos a day is the ideal approach for keeping and expanding your base of followers.

5) Using hashtags

In order to organize photos for the users, Instagram relies on hashtags. So, when you are looking for photos, Instagram will highlight all the photos with the same hashtag. Use relatively popular hashtags, but remember that the photos you are sharing must be related to the hashtag. In addition, don’t overuse hashtags because it will make your post look bad.

6) Be active on other profiles

The final advice is to use all the opportunities that Instagram provides. If you want to become more visible and get more followers, you should start following others. As a matter of fact, you should start liking photos that you really like and comment on other people’s photos and videos. Most people will check your profile and you can expect next followers.
