Google is in the process of developing a new social network called Google Circles, the search engine announced at South by Southwest Interactive today. It has long been rumoured that Google was working on one or a number of social networks and this announcement may be the result of the long mooted Google Me and Google Loop projects.
Mozilla, the makers of the popular web browser Firefox, have released an add-on designed to make sharing content on the web “easy, safe and fast”. The new service, called F1, is an effort by Mozilla to combat the unsightly and confusing array of share buttons found on the majority of today’s websites.
