During Google’s Q1 2012 earnings call, Chief Business Officer Nikesh Arora revealed that Google Analytics, Google’s website statistics service, is used on over 10 million websites.
Google Analytics is considered one of Google’s top products and is described by Arora as “an unsung hero”. During the earnings call Arora spoke of how “over 10 million marketers and websites globally use Google Analytics to measure the effectiveness of their online presence in real-time”. Arora also commented that Google Analytics is “at the heart of over 10 million businesses, helping them get the most out of the web”.

Google have been hard at work recently making Google Analytics into a great product; a product that is used on over 55% of all websites, including ours, and one that has an analytics tool market share of over 82%.
In March of last year, Google Analytics introduced a radical new look, though the old version is still available. With the new Analytics came real-time reports and advanced data funnels and flow visualisations.
Google Analytics Premium was introduced in September 2011, but progress on its uptake has not been shared.
