DNC staffer Seth Rich, 27, was shot in the back in Washington D.C. on July 10. Many reports claim that it was an armed robbery attempt; however, nothing was reported stolen.
“If it was a robbery-it failed because he still has his watch, he still has his money-he still has his credit cards, still had his phone so it was a wasted effort except we lost a life,” said Joel Rich, Seth’s father.
WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange appeared on the Dutch television program Nieuwsuur where he declared that Rich’s death was not a robbery attempt.
“That was just a robbery attempt, wasn’t it?” asked the presenter; to which Assange calmly replied, “No. There was no finding.”
Metropolitan Police Department Assistant Chief Peter Newsham stated, “At this time, we don’t have any information to suggest that the case is in any way connected with his work at the DNC.”
However, the interview with Assange has garnished speculation that Rich was actually WikiLeaks’ source in the DNC email hacking scandal that led to the resignation of Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz for conspiring against former Democratic Presidential nominee Bernie Sanders.
If Rich was indeed the whistle blower, then his murder would definitely be political. However, the Rich family has specifically asked that Seth’s death not be made political.
“For the sake of finding Seth’s killer, and for the sake of giving the family the space they need at this terrible time, they are asking for the public to refrain from pushing unproven and harmful theories about Seth’s murder,” said family spokesman.

Rich’s murder is among at least three deaths that have occurred within in the past two months that have all had ties to the Democratic Party.
Shawn Lucas was one of the process servers who delivered a lawsuit signed by 120 mostly Bernie Sanders donors who accused DNC Chairwoman Wasserman Shultz of rigging the Primary for Hillary Clinton.
“In the suit, the plaintiffs say that Wasserman Schultz and the DNC were fraudulent, negligent and misrepresented their true motivations in the Democratic presidential primary,” according to UPI.
The late process server was named in the court order filed against the DNC.
“On July 6, 2016, Plaintiffs filed affidavits of service of process, in which Shawn Lucas and Brandon Yoshimura of One Source Process, Inc. claim to have served Rebecca Christopher (described by the affidavits as a “Creative Strategist”) with process for both the DNC and its Chair at 1:30 p.m. on July 1st.”
Less than a month later, Lucas was found dead on his bathroom floor on August 2. There has been no confirmed cause of death.
According to the Centre for Research on Globilization, “Just hours before Lucas was found dead, there had been a major housecleaning of DNC officials implicated in the DNC emails leaked by Wikileaks, showing that key executives had secretly strategized on how to sabotage the campaign of Senator Bernie Sanders while bolstering the campaign for Hillary Clinton.”
Former United Nations official John Nash was found dead in June, but there are conflicting reports on whether he had a heart attack or that his “throat was crushed” in some bizarre workout accident.
Nash had been facing charges of tax fraud and was scheduled to testify in court “with his Chinese businessman co-defendant Ng Lap Seng, who is charged with smuggling $4.5 million into the US,” according to Page Six.
The DNC connection comes as Ng “used a proxy to pour more than $1 million into the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton-Gore campaign back in 1996. Scandal was joined by embarrassment when it turned out that Ng had been favored with 10 visits to the White House, including an elevator ride with Hillary Clinton,” according to the Daily Beast.
“During the trial, the prosecutors would have linked Ashe to the Clinton bagman Ng. It would have been very embarrassing. His death was conveniently timed,” said an anonymous source.
