Ecommerce agency Charle will bring companies and brands at the center of the industry for A New Era ’26 in Central London on September 17, an evening focused on what comes next for ecommerce.
The event will explore how AI is changing ecommerce, where it is heading, what GEO means for brands, the role both Shopify and the open web play in the next chapter of digital commerce and, ultimately, how brands will be able to grow in this new paradigm.
Confirmed speakers include Shopify, TikTok, Klaviyo, Triple Whale and Peec AI, as well as ecommerce brands and technology firms like Thriva, ThruDark, Duke+ Dexter, and Envii.
Joining the lineup is AppMaker, the mobile commerce platform owned by StarApps, which acquired it in an all-cash deal in July 2026. AppMaker powers commerce for high-growth Shopify stores, building native Android and iOS mobile apps with no coding required.
For the company, the event offers a unique opportunity to position the biggest questions facing Shopify merchants today, and will join a panel discussion on how ecommerce brands are actually growing now, bringing a mobile-first angle to a programme that otherwise spans search, AI, GEO and the open web.
The platform has more than 200 enterprise customers and has powered more than $100 million USD in annual app GMV.
While the wider programme covers search, AI, GEO, conversion and the open web, among others, AppMaker brings the discussion back to the mobile experience and the role it can play in how Shopify brands grow.
Atul Poharkar, who joined the company as CEO this year, works closely with Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants and is expected to speak to where brands are directing their product and engineering budgets, and where that spending may not be paying off.
“The world of mobile apps has changed completely. A few years ago a D2C app was a homepage, collections, a PDP and a cart. Large brand or small, very little changed between them,” Poharkar said on LinkedIn.
“Come 2026 and brands are building quick commerce, games, interactive widgets, onboarding journeys worth the name, and personalizing nearly all of it for almost every user. Shopping behavior moved. The channel has to move with it.”
A New Era ’26 will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6pm in Vox Studios, Central London.
