Apple’s next iteration of its mobile operating system will be deeply integrated with Twitter. Speaking at Apple’s 2011 Worldwide Developers Conference Scott Forstall, senior vice president of iOS software, announced this and other exciting new features to expect from iOS 5 this Autumn.
With negotiations successfully wrapped up between Apple and all four major record labels, attention now turns to the intricacies of Apple’s new cloud music service. According to the LA Times the service, dubbed iCloud, will initially be free to entice early adapters, but will be supported by a subscription fee after this trial period.
Twitter has announced that it has upgraded its internal search, now integrates with search on the Firefox web browser and has partnered with Photobucket to host photos that can now be directly uploaded from Twitter.
