Microsoft announces the premier of the second season of the DECODED Show to air on Wednesday, August 23 at 6PM PST with tickets still available for the special screening in San Francisco.
Always unorthodox and at times irreverent, the DECODED Show takes viewers around the globe and shares modern developer best practices.
For the launch of the second season, DECODED will host an event at Z SPACE in San Francisco with Host and Microsoft Chief Geek John Shewchuk, along with Executive Producer David Mendlen. Tickets for the drinks reception and screening are available here.

The new episodes will look under the hood at the most dynamic open source software in the world today, the people behind it, and the problems they use it to solve.
You may remember Shewchuk from his Virtual Keynote from Day 3 of the Microsoft Build Conference last May where he introduced many of the coding themes that will be debuting on the DECODED Show’s second season. These include using sensors to track snowboarding movements, machine learning to analyze those movements to detect how well skiers and snowboarders perform, and how computers will be the new virtual golf caddies on the links.

As host of the DECODED Show, Shewchuk has an uncanny way of translating complex code and bringing it down to Earth in a way that we can all relate to, and at times, even blow our minds. Once the coding aspect is explained, you can then see the real-world applications that are disrupting entire industries.
The last season of DECODED featured three episodes, and in each installment where we met a new developer and heard their master recipe for building modern applications.
This season has been green-lit for at least five episodes following more or less the same format. Check out the rundown below.
