Details concerning Samsung’s successor to its flagship Galaxy S II device have been confirmed on an Amazon Germany pre-order page. The Galaxy S III will be officially unveiled at an event in London on May 3.
The premature listing confirms much of what has already been speculated previously. The device will feature a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and will run Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich.
Previously it was thought that the S3 would feature an 8-megapixel camera. However, this listing confirms that the device will feature a 12-megapixel camera, autofocus, an LED flash and face detection, leaving it more on par with Sony’s recently released Xperia S, for example.
The S3 will have 16GB of internal memory and this can be expanded to 32GB. Its price tag is rather high at €599 SIM-free.
This listing is an Amazon product as apposed to one posted by a third-party seller, so its authenticity seems fairly certain. What’s not included in the listing, however, is a product image and an estimated delivery time.
