Tomorrow, Saturday, is the first day of a week long Tourism Ireland initiative where social media determines the road trip route taken by two avid British adventurers visiting Ireland. Their trip begins tomorrow in Belfast and ends seven days later in Cork, with the public deciding their journey southwards throughout the week.
According to Irish Rail today's delay on the northern line was caused by a signal failure but this was not the only failure Irish Rail encountered - they also suffered a social media public relations failure.
Twestival 2011 is kicking off right about now across Ireland, bringing Twitter users together in tangible form and raising money for charity in the process. Tonight's Twestival events in Dublin, Galway and Belfast promise to provide entertainment, a chance to meet like-minded people, and of course help their respective causes.
