Google is rumored to be rolling out a smarthpone based real-world payment system using Near Field Communication technology. Well, the Wall Street Journal reports that the search giant has now brought MasterCard and Citigroup on-board.

Earlier this month TNW reported, quoting Statcounter Global stats, that StumbleUpon had surpassed Facebook in the US as the site that created the most social media referrers. The article also reported it was the second most popular traffic-generating site globally after Facebook.
Chinese will overtake English as the dominate language on the internet in the next five years, according to data collated by TNW. TNW says that there are over 400m Chinese language internet users, a number approaching the 530m English language internet users. Along with this already large number Chinese has also seen a 1,277% increase in online use in the past decade.
