A bill, known as the Daylight Saving Bill, has been provisionally approved by British MPs today, with 92 to 10 voting in favour of its implementation. The bill proposes that the UK should stay on Western European Summer Time all year round, effectively shifting the clocks forward by one hour for the entire year.
Google have updated their Android platform versions chart with Android 2.2 (Froyo) overtaking Android 2.1 (Eclair) for the first time. In fact, 83% of Android phones are now 2.1 or above, showing a welcome further decline in the fragmentation that once plagued the platform.
The BBC will broadcast an interesting hour-long documentary next Tuesday December 7th called The Joy of Stats. The programme is hosted by internet boffin Professor Hans Rosling and will be aired at 9pm on BBC 4.
According to an article published in the Wall Street Journal today Google is weeks away from launching its long awaited digital book retail project known as Google Editions. The article states that the service from Google will launch this month in the US, and internationally within the first quarter of 2011.
