Google has asked international governments to be more open with how they use legal means to get access to users' information. The call comes as Google releases its latest Transparency Report, which shows a steady increase in governments' requests for users' data.
Google Transparency Report, the search giant's server analysis tool has added realtime analytics and added data about local outages, the company has announced. Google Transparency Report is Google's public service site in which the company shows how it interacts with government bodies and manages user access to the company's services.
Under MediaSift’s DataSift brand the freemium service will allow users to search and filter Twitter’s full firehose of content according to over 40 pieces of metadata contained in each tweet. The company will also aggregate and analyse Twitter content according to user sentiment, user influence, reach and text analysis.
According to Google’s Realtime search results the greatest number of tweets about Earth Hour from Irish users came at exactly 8:30pm, just when the event started in Ireland. It then took another hour before the massive spike of #earthhour tweets subsided.
