You may call him defiant, or foolhardy, but in one week Mark Krieger will do something that would make most bank managers wince, he will launch his latest start-up. His new application, TweetRoost, is a multiuser-oriented Twitter client designed to help “individuals and groups efficiently monitor, assign, categorize, save and analyze tweets from one or multiple Twitter accounts”.

RTÉ have announced today that between 50 and 60 jobs will be axed due to the companies current undesirable “financial situation”. RTÉ management informed unions this morning that voluntary redundancy and early retirement schemes were being prepared.

Startupbootcamp have today announced plans to expand their start-up mentoring network to include Berlin, London, Madrid, and now Dublin. The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) yesterday announced the decision to deregulate Electric Ireland, the re-branded energy supply business of the ESB, which could potentially mean lower energy bills for struggling Irish households. From April 4 Electric Ireland residential electricity prices will no longer be regulated - something that business customers have experienced since October of last year.

UK’s Telegraph may introduce paywall this September

The Telegraph will reportedly announce a new online paywall strategy as early as next month, with full implementation by September of this year, according to Marketing Magazine. By doing so, it will join other similar publications, including The Times and Sunday Times, and The News of the World, who have all adapted such strategies last year with moderate success.
