The Irish Internet Association was 'overwhealmed' by the record number of entries to this year's Net Visionary Awards, the organisation said today. The shortlist contains 62 websites spread over 14 categories, each of which is up for the public vote.

Ireland needs to more to encourage and support entrepreneurs, according to Twitter founder Jack Dorsey. Speaking on the Late Late Show Dorsey said that Ireland's technology and internet entrepreneurs need more support from the state, including possible legislative change, to compete internationally.
