Controversial music streaming service Grooveshark is available as an Android app once more as it returns to Google Play. The app was removed from the Android Market in April 2011 following complaints from the music industry.
Amazon Instant Video, Amazon's version of Netflix, is now available to stream on the PS3. Previously, the video on-demand service was only available on select connected TVs, and select set-top boxes and Blu-ray players.
Netflix, the film and TV episode streaming service, has officially launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland as of today, complete with one-month free trial. While some users reported early access to the service yesterday, both netflix.co.uk and netflix.ie are officially available from this morning.
Music Beta from Google has just evolved into Google Music, opening up to users in the United States and bringing another major music player to the cloud. Earlier this week, Apple finally introduced iTunes Match, allowing iOS device users to stream music anywhere using iCloud.
Back in May we reported that Google introduced YouTube movie rentals to users in the United States. Last month, YouTube expanded this service to users in Canada and has today done the same for those living in the UK.
Apple is reportedly considering making a bid for Hulu, the on-demand TV show and movie streaming service, according to Bloomberg. Bloomberg quote two people "who weren't authorized to speak publicly" that Apple are in early talks with Hulu, and may eventually make an offer for the video giant.
